Detailed and reflective letters by Wonder in London, all but one to Lady Murray in Dresden, concerning the copying of Old Master paintings, the current features of local galleries, problems with making portraits, and with obtaining commissions. Wonder had painted, in about 1826, a portrait of Murray (as a patron of art) now in the National Portrait Gallery.
